Embracing Khaadi

For Gandhi’s 150th birth anniversary, AWD designed an immersive installation at the United Nations HQ in New Delhi. Titled Embracing Khaadi, the piece paid tribute to the timeless fabric and philosophy through spatial storytelling.

Visitors stepped into a flowing expanse of handspun cloth—spinning the chakra and becoming part of a moment that honoured tradition, sustainability, and the legacy of a man whose ideas continue to endure.
